The  LIVE  Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions Program is again outstanding thanks to the tireless work by the Program Committee and Board of Directors. Sessions cover both basic and advanced topics germane to all physicians and practitioners who treat patients in pain.

 No matter your specialty, we have sessions for you!   

Please note that your membership dues for 2024-25 are included in your full meeting registration fee.  

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of this program, participants should be able to:

1.         Employ key diagnostic and treatment techniques for the management of pain.

2.         Identify and administer appropriate safe opioid usage in patients.

3.         Understand and include behavioral analysis in the evaluation of a chronic pain patient.

4.         Identify and resolve issues relating to the law for pain management.

5.         Apply evidenced based strategies to clinical practice for managing complex

            pain patients.

ACCREDITATION 

in support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and Tennessee Pain Society.  Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians (ACCME) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Nurses (ANCC) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this activity for a maximum of 10 ANCC contact hours.

 

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians (ACPE) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this activity for a maximum of 10 knowledge-based CPE contact hours.


NOTE to Pharmacists: The only official Statement of Credit is the one you pull from CPE Monitor. You must request your certificate within 30 days of your participation in the activity to meet the deadline for submission to CPE Monitor. 

 

Physician Assistants

PAs may claim a maximum of 10 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

 

Nurse Practitioners

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit.

 

Please note that Session Six is Presented by Pri-Med and qualifies for an additional 3.5 CME/ CE from Pri-Med.  

 

TOTAL CME/CE for the full meeting is therefore:  13.5 CME/ CE

CANCELATION POLICY

Cancelation Policy:  Registration Cancellations, minus a $25 fee will be honored to August 19, 2024.  After August 19, 2024, no cancellations are permitted.  You may however substitute a colleague if you cannot attend. This interactive session focuses on improving physicians’ and practitioners’ ability to recognize, diagnose, and classify pain; educating clinicians on the full spectrum of pain management options, including non-opioid pharmacologic interventions; and providing risk reduction strategies through integration of opioids into individualized pain management plans.  Clinicians will learn to recognize signs and symptoms of opioid dependence and abuse in order to optimally manage the patient’s pain and medication use.

 

This afternoon session activity  is supported by an independent educational grant from the Opioid Analgesic REMS Program Companies. This activity is intended to be fully compliant with the Opioid Analgesic REMS education requirements issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
